AHUSOL is registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners (CBE) of the State Bar of California as an unaccredited distance learning law school. As a result, we do not offer any on-campus degree programs at this time.

American Heritage University School of Law holds annual formal graduation ceremonies in June.

Seeking admissions into AHU School of Law is a simple process. We welcome diverse students from different backgrounds and experiences that can and will continue to contribute to our environment of educational excellence. The following are the minimum entrance requirements: (Must possess or complete one of the following):

The Associates Degree or great must be from an accredited US college or equivalent.

An official copy of all transcripts or evaluations must be received by Law School within 45 days from the start of class. Students must complete the admissions application, enrollment agreement, and sign any relevant disclosure statements. Students must also submit a resume and personal statement.
A combined total of 60 qualifying semester or 90 qualifying quarter units/credits or greater: Units/credits must be from an accredited US college or equivalent.

Must pass the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) requirements with a 50 or greater (satisfactory completion of exams): this solution is for all students who do not possess sufficient units.

The school year depends on your enrollment date. You may enroll at any time and begin your studies at once. In other words, students are allowed to make application and begin their studies at the next semester start date. For more information, check out our Academic Calendar for complete schedule details.

AHUSOL will award transfer credit to students where not limited by Bar regulations. Student will still be required to meet the minimum preparation time. Transfer students may need to repeat courses taken at other Law schools based on course availability.

Student must have passed the FYLSX or successfully completed first year at an accredited law school. AHUSOL will not grant credit for transferring courses exceeding number of units awarded by AHUSOL. See Cal Bar Rules for more information.

American Heritage University School of Law is not approved by the American Bar Association, and not accredited by the State Bar of California. The School of Law is registered with the State Bar of California to enable its graduates to take the bar examination upon competition of the Juris Doctor program.

The School of Law Juris Doctorate (JD) Program is registered with the State of California, Committee of Bar Examiners. Applicants of the JD Program are advised to contact the State Bar if you have further questions or concerns.
